A nationwide strike called coalitions by approximately 10 central trade unions with the support of several farm clothing in the country against the alleged lost and opposite politicians of the party Bharatiya Janata (BJP) on Wednesday influenced normal life in Thiruvananthapuram.
Trades, markets, business facilities and educational institutions remained closed and the public transport system, with the exception of rail and air, stopped, with buses of Kerala Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), private buses, authorickshaws and taxis.
Most banks and government offices in the district were closed and the participation of employees was in the offices that worked, skeletal. Work in the government institutions of the Union, such as Vikram Sarabhai Space Centers (VSSC), remained normal. Most private and commercial vehicles were completely off the road.
No rush
Although the hospitals were open, there was no rush, even in outpatient departments. The national highways and MC Road were abandoned. Only two -track and insulated private vehicles were observed on the road.

The police organized a transport facility for those who got off at the Thampanoor Central Railway Station to go to places like the Regional Cancer Center and Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital.
No major undesirable incidents have been reported. Fans of strikes, however, blocked vehicles, including KSRTC services that worked in many places in the morning. In front of Raj Bhavan was also organized a protest march led by a non -governmental organization.
