On Friday (May 9, 2025) VECK called on the main Minister Jamm and Omar Abdullah Kashmir on Friday (May 9, 2025) people from Jammu to “stay off the streets and stay at home”, in the middle of the sounds of explosions in the city.

“It is my serious attraction for everyone in and its surroundings, please stay off the streets, stay at home or at the nearest place where you can comfortably stay for the next few hours. Ignore rumors, do not spread unfounded or unverified stories and go together.”

The main minister said “occasional sounds of explosions, probably heavy artillery that can now be heard from where I am.” “Now darkening in Jammu. Sirens can be heard all over the city,” he added.
Mr. Abdullah’s tweets came the day after part of the Province of Jammu got under the attack of drone and rockets of Pakistan. However, these attacks have successfully thwarted, the officials said.
