The Ministry of the Railway clarified that the period of stay at home during the locking COVID-19 would be counted for the increments of salaries as an obligation for rail preparations.
“As the consciousness of the railroad is to be a period of training spent a railway servant, whether in remuneration with a scholarship or other, treated as a duty, provided that it is followed by confirmation for additional purposes,” read the circular dated 7 July 2025, addressed to all zones and manufacturing units.
The Ministry of the Ministry came after one of the Zonal Railways unit tried to know whether the period spent at home during the national lock due to the pandemic would also be considered an obligation for increments.
The Ministry said that already in 2020 it issued instructions during the issued payments of scholarships to civil servants for a period that remained at home during locking due to a Covid, that this period must not exceed six months.
