The Health Insurance Scheme of the State Government for civil servants and pensioners (Medisep), the first phase of which is close to June 30, will be extended to 30 September with the same conditions set out in the original memorandum of understanding with an insurance company implementing the system.
Given that the three -year political period Medisep ended on June 30, 2025, the government set up a six -member expert committee for the regime study and recommended appropriate revisions.

The Government Order (GO) issued by the Financial Department will extend the Medisep for the next three months that the bonus charged for the extended period of the system will be £ 1,593, including the GST, for the family for three months for the current number of families to which Medisep applies.
Slightly higher
Although it works at 531 GBP/month, slightly higher than the current actual bonus of 472 GBP per month, the government decided to meet these additional costs in the Corpus balance so that neither the recipient nor the Treasury create any additional payment.
Although the insurance company has previously taken the attitude that when the contract is extended, it can provide insurance coverage to existing families only for any amount on the basis of any insured balance that remains on June 30, the state government has again joined with the insurance company
Families that have already exhausted their insured amount, or those whose insured amounts are less than 75,000 GBP to 30 June will also receive basic insurance coverage of 75,000 GBP in the next three months. This was determined proportional to the next bonus paid by the government for a longer period of time.
The diagram will provide cashless treatment and advantage of package to recipients with the same conditions of the existing Medisep scheme by September 30.
Medisep, launched in July 2022, offered basic insurance coverage of 3 GBP Lakh, for a monthly bonus around 500 GBP. It covers more than 30 individuals of the lamps, including about 5.45 Lakh government employees, 5.89 lakh pension and their dependent.
Improved coverage
The expert committee set up the government to revise the conditions of Medisep, recommended increased basic insurance coverage from 3 Lakh to 5 Lakh based on the frame of a package of health benefits (HBP) 2022 formulated by the National Health Office.
It also recommended that the Medisep policy period be shortened to two years and that this program be extended to employees and pensioners in companies, corporations, autonomous, legal authorities and cooperative sector, so that the total risk fund can be treated in premiums.
