
The annual Indian College of Cardiology conference (ICC) Kerala Chapter called ICC Con 2025 began on Saturday 5th July in Raviz Kadav in Kozhikod.
The publication said that a two -day event was attended to focus on progress in cardiology, developing treatment methods and challenges in heart care. K. Sutesh, President, ICC Keral Chapter, said at the opening of the conference that people must be informed about modern heart care technologies such as AI diagnostics, advanced depiction and minimally invasive procedures. It should be ensured that these technologies are available in private and public health, he added.
KH Srinivasa, a senior cardiologist from Bengalur, said in his main language, that heart valve disease is now a manageable condition with a wide range of safe and effective treatment, many of which do not require great operation. “Technological advances, such as transcatheter aortic valve, also offer older patients or those who are not eligible for intervention to save life with faster recovery and less complications. This is a minimally invasive procedure used primarily for aortic valve.
The second day will be discussed new drug therapies, heart transplantation, use of nuclear medicine and heart impact of chemotherapy.
