The state government has initiated further disciplinary proceedings against N. Prasanth, an IAS officer of the Kerala cadre who is under suspension, for making unauthorized comments against the government to the media. Mr. Prasanth has appeared on television chat shows and YouTube channels in recent days and has spoken out against the state government.
Mr Prasanth was suspended on 11 November 2024 for making serious allegations against Mr Jayathilak, then Additional Chief Secretary and now Chief Secretary of Kerala, and then Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan. Since then, the suspension has been extended several times.
