HYDERABAD
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) General Secretary RS Praveen Kumar has accused the government of conspiring to deny admission to students from poor families in Hyderabad Public School by not releasing fees of ₹32 crore for the purpose.
Every year HPS releases notification for admission of SC, ST students to first standard (class) by this time but this year it is delayed as the government paid the fees of ₹32 crore. According to him, textbooks for the next academic year have not yet been issued to SC, ST students who are already studying at the school.
Children of Ministers G. Vivek, C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, Legislators M. Samuel and A. Dayakar and others studied in HPS but they show no interest in expanding the facility for more SC, ST students.
