
Keral has not yet submitted a proposal for the plans of the Integrated Island (IIMP), according to the announcement of the Coast Regulatory Zone (CRZ) of 2019, according to the Minister for the Environment, Forest and Kirti Vardhan Singh climate change.
He answered the question of Ernacula by MEP Hibi Eden in Lok Sabha as to whether the Center proposed to implement IIMP to meet the unique environmental needs of the environment and infrastructure of island communities in Ernacula, increasing their quality of life and providing their ecosystem.
Mr. Singh said the Ministry approved the plans of coastal zones (CZMPS) for all coastal districts, including Ernacula, by a letter of 16 October 2024. The Keraly government has to submit a proposal for IIMP, he said.
13 Panchayats excluded in Ernacula for Crz-II classification, due to urban charters and the basic development of their appropriate. This included Alangad, Chendamangalam, Chittattikara, Ezhikkara, Kadungalloor, Karumaloor, Kottvally, Kunnukar, Puthenvelikkara, Udaymorero, Vadakkekar, Kuzhuply and Pall.
The Minister stated that the Ministry of KZMP in Kerala was approved by a letter of 16 October 2024 on the basis of recommendations of the Technical Control Committee, which took place on March 1, 2024 and the recommendations of the National Coast Zone at its 47th.
