
The state government has issued orders granted by Keral Water Authority (KWA) to get a 9,000 crore (JM) loan from the National Bank for Agriculture and Development of Rurals (JM).
In the first phase, KWA ensures a loan of 5,000 crore, according to orders issued by the state water resource department 15. September with the consent to the Keral cabinet.
In the government, when approved, the KWA director instructed to make sure that only the work that is decisive for the operation of partially performed schemes, the delay of which could lead to the “infruculent expenditure” that was provided last week.
For JJM, which assumes 100% TAP connectivity in rural households throughout India, the center and state government share 50:50. Kwa has begun to explore the possibility of accepting loans from agencies such as NABARD, Life Insurance Corporation, Hudco or the World Bank, because the state faced challenges in mobilizing its corresponding share of project costs.

It is estimated that Kerala would require Crore 12 532.02 GBP for the remaining state stake to complete the planned work. In this context, the cabinet cleared the proposal of KWA for a loan from NABARD.
According to data from the State Assembly, a total of 11,643.59 GBP has been spent in the Kerala. Administrative sanctions have so far been awarded for projects worth 44 714.78 Crore. The works were organized for projects worth 35 826.87 crore.
In terms of implementation, Kerala is at the bottom of the list at the national level. Implementation now is 55.31%. The decision of the Union Government to extend the date of completion by 2028 was a relief for the state.
