The Minister of Income Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy ordered officials to revise land prices in accordance with real market trends, but without burdening the middle class.
He also called for a scientific and evidence based on the identification of areas where adjustments are necessary, and urged this process to deal with in a transparent way to avoid criticism.
At the Secretariat, a high -level meeting with officials, including V. Shadri, the main secretary of the main minister, was organized; DS Loket Kumar, Secretary of Income; Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanth, special secretary, stamps and registration; and Vemula Srinivas, OSD to the main minister
Regarding the equality of women and men, the Minister said the government is seriously considering lowering wheels for women. As for real estate registration, he added that different pins for old and new apartments should be reviewed.
The government also wants to introduce a new stamp policy through a bill on a change in telangana-2025 for a more transparent and civic system of real estate registration for modernization of the state’s access to land transactions.
The proposed bill, which changes the provisions under the Act on the Indian Stamp of 1899, is currently in preparation and will be introduced at the upcoming legislative session.
The previous bill, which was approved in 2021 to revise four sections and 26 articles under the Stamps Act, was returned by the Indian government in January 2023 for objections. Bill 2021 will be withdrawn and a revised version will be drawn up to reflect the current reality.
