Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said his government is actively promoting the use of technology to solve prevailing urban problems and make Hyderabad truly the best city to live in.
Apart from being cosmopolitan, Hyderabad is best suited among other metropolitan cities in the country to become the most liveable city due to its infrastructural efficiency and resources, the Chief Minister said. He spoke during a session with Analog AI CEO Alex Kipman, a renowned technologist for redefining human-computer interaction.
The Chief Minister discussed the development of technological solutions to problems such as traffic congestion, urban flooding, lake conservation, weather forecasting and industrial pollution monitoring in the Telangana Core urban region. He explained plans to transform Bharat Future City as a global hub for technology, innovation and sustainability.
The meeting decided that the Telangana government will work with Mr Kipman to integrate real-time sensor networks for traffic, security, environment and utilities as part of a larger strategic plan to align “physical intelligence” solutions with government priorities.
Analog AI’s CEO explained the rise of “physical intelligence” – the bridge between artificial intelligence (AI) and the physical world – and the potential to achieve city-level innovation with large-scale connected sensors, robots and drones.
The Chief Minister sought tailor-made cutting-edge technology solutions for the development of Bharat’s future city with a focus on economic growth and sustainability. The state government will work with Kipman to make best use of the thousands of cameras installed in Hyderabad to improve security.
Briefing Mr. Kipman about the Musi rejuvenation project work, Mr. Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for lake conservation in the state.
He provided all support for Analogue’s study of the state’s landscape, challenges and potential opportunities in unidentified areas.
Mr. Kipman expressed confidence in the potential introduction of smart solutions to enhance Telangana’s security, sustainability and economic growth.
Hyderabad ‘physical intelligence’ pilot
The meeting decided to implement an eight-week pilot program in collaboration with Analog AI to transform Hyderabad’s existing CCTV infrastructure into real-time city reporting. This was in addition to improving traffic management, emergency coordination and citizen safety through predictive insight and contextual understanding.
The pilot project will aim to position Hyderabad as India’s first ‘Physical Intelligence City’. At the end of the pilot, Hyderabad will have a live operational physical intelligence prototype running at the Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC).
The Chief Minister invited Kipman to attend and share his views at the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8-9 to be held at Bharat Future City.
