The State Conference of Workers and Folk Organizations will be held on July 13 at Dasari Nagabhushanam Rao Bhavan in Gandhinagar pod Aegis United forum of folk organizations. The conference will focus on the requirements-“not in intelligent meters” and “cancel fees for true”.
In a joint statement on Monday, Secretary General of the State Aituc G. Obules and Secretary General of the State Cit Ch. Narasinga Rao called on members of trade unions, agricultural groups, agricultural workers, female organizations, youth, students, social and medium classes to participate in a large number and make this event a great success.
They argued that the state government carried out intelligent meters as part of the privatization unit of the central government. They argued that these meters store a load of 13,000 GBP per household, which can be recovered in installments, while traditional meters earlier costs of only 700 GBP. The installation is reportedly carried out via Adani Energy, they said.
They pointed to inconsistency in the attitude of the ruling Alliance led by TDP and noted that while in opposition TDP leaders, including Nara Lolesh, they opposed intelligent meters and even demanded their destruction. After admission to power, however, the coalition is now reportedly continuing the same policies carried out by the previous YSRCP government.
The leaders warned that intelligent meters would function as mobile recharge systems where the power supply would be interrupted immediately as soon as the prepaid amount was exhausted and did not leave the dispute billing. They also stated that the government had imposed a burden of 15,435 GBP per consumer for true fees from the takeover of the Office.
The aim of the upcoming conference is to build public awareness and formulate future action plans against this development. The United Forum urged all participating citizens and organizations to participate and express their opposition to these policies Anti-Humpers, they added.
