After a lengthy delay, the state and the center decided to implement the Sabari Rail project, a project that was designed to bring the Sabarimal Temple on the Earth’s railway map. The decision was taken at the meeting of the main Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Minister of Railway Ashwini Vaishnaw in Nový Delhi.
At the meeting, it was decided that the expert committee would visit Kerala in July to bring the project back to the road and to start the land acquisition process, said V. Abdurahiman, Minister of State Minister of Respanions for the Railway, accompanied by the main minister together with Kv Thomas.
However, it is not clear how problems related to the cost of a project that was the bone of the dispute between the state and the center will be solved.
The center previously insisted that Kerala would have a 50% revised estimate of 3,810.69 crore. Kerala, in turn, asked for liability to be created for financing the project through the Keral Investment Investment Investment Fund (KIIFB) Investment Fund, which would be fully exempted from the state borrowing limit. The center then proposed a tripartite agreement on the project implementation, including the State Government, the Ministry of Railways and the Indian Reserve Bank.
Under the agreement, RBI will pay the Ministry to the Ministry, unless Kerala pays its share in the project in time and deducts the amount from the central share of assistance to Kerala for different systems. However, the state insisted on financing kiifb for the project.
The 110 km route Angamaly-Eremeli was first announced in the budget on the railway 1997-98. The acquisition of soil was completed at 8 km, while working on a section of 7 km between Angamala and Kalady was completed earlier.
The South Railway has recently said that the 20 GBP CRORE can be diverted from the CRORE 142.70 GBP for sanctioned for the Sabari Rail project in the last budget for stopped projects, indicating the project revival.
The state was also looking for approval for SEMO high -speed rail project Silverline. Although the Minister of the Union did not provide any certainty at the meeting, he said that an alternative proposal submitted by E. Sreedharan technocrat can be considered.
After meeting with Mr. Sreedhar, the center is likely to pass on its attitude to the state project.
The state also repeated its demand for the third and fourth line to postpone the existing network and speed up the trains.
The meeting also brought the question of poor quality food on the Vande Bharat train in Kerala to the attention of the Minister of the Union.
