The case was reserved against the stand-up comedian Ratan Ranjan for the publication of the morphic image of the leader of the congress of Rahul Gandhi in a post on the social media.
The case was reserved on the basis of the complaint of the President of the Telangan Telangan Jakkidi Shiva Charan Reddy and said the painting was shared from Ranjan’s official X (formerly Twitter) 5th July and was accompanied by a derogatory title.
According to the complaint, the contribution focused on the recent campaign of the All India Mahil Congress in Bihar focused on the distribution of sanitary flakes and an increase in awareness of menstrual hygiene among rural women. The morphic image of Rahula Gandhi was reportedly inserted on a hygienic pad, which the complainant said that he was transmitting obscene material and undermined the dignity of women throughout the country. This also accused Ranjan of the trivialization of the sensitive problem and incitement of hostility towards Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress.
The complaint has also shared five X handles, including “@arunkosli;, @mrsinha”, ‘@advsunilsharma_’, ‘@siddharth_00001’ and ‘@sanjayniruupam’ who reposting a post that was connected with the online Mishogyna and political provocation campaign. Another investigation is underway.
