National Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) K. Narayan on Friday appreciated the Indian government to buy oil from Russia at cheaper prices despite rising pressure from the United States.
However, he said that while the government improves and exports this oil to foreign nations, it did not provide oil products such as diesel and gasoline at reduced prices to its own citizens. “This reflects a profit -focused motif, regardless of the hardships of ordinary people,” he said in the issue here, while demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi redirected the profits from the refinement and balance of Russian oil to people reduced fuel prices.
He thanked the Ministry of the External Affairs for maintaining the long -term friendship of the country with Russia, who said he “dated back to the Soviet era”, Mr. Narayana remembered Russian support for India during critical moments, including the Bangladeshi liberation war of 1971.
India must defend its sovereign rights and reject the hypocritical approach of the United States, concluded.
