
Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid mourned to the tragic loss of life during the IPL Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Bengalur. Incident claimed the lives of 11 cricket fans And on Wednesday 4 June he left more than 50 injured in front of the iconic stadium M Chinnaswamy.
David, a native of Bengalur, lamented over the loss of life while what was supposed to be a joyful opportunity for the city. The RCB ended their eighteen -year waiting for the title of IPL 3 and defeated the Kings pandjab in the Ahmedabad finals. On the occasion of the historical victory, the franchise was planned the next day of the national celebrations in Bengalur.
“Yeah, very disappointment. It is obvious that very sad. Thoughts go to people,” said Dravid NDTV.
“It’s really a sports city. I come from here. People love their sport, not just cricket. People love sport in the city and really watched all sports teams-it was our football team or our Kabaddi team.
“And of course, RCB is a very well -watched team. So really sad, very unfortunate what happened. And our thoughts go out to all who have been injured, and especially to those who have lost their lives.”
It is estimated that two lakh people gathered last Wednesday to celebrate the triumphal return of the RCB. The franchise announced the ceremony of the bus from Vishan Judah to the stadium M Chinnaswamy, although the traffic police at the beginning of the Bengalur initially denied permission for concerns about overloading traffic. Before heading to the stadium, RCB players were felicitated by the main Minister Siddaramaiaha in Vishana Judaha.
Preliminary reports presented to the Government of Karnataka suggest that the temporary board located across the drain near the stadium collapsed under the weight of the people standing on it. Sudden collapse caused a panic that triggered a blow.
Although the access to the event was to be limited through entry passages, a stunning number of supporters appeared, leading to chaos outside the stadium.
In response to the tragedy, the bus show was canceled and the RCB was forced to shorten its program of engagement of fans at the stadium.

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has come into serious criticism for poor organization of the event. Subsequently, the secretary of KSCA Shankar and the Treasurer Es Jairam resigned and for the disaster with reference to “moral responsibility”.
