Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday unveiled the foundation to build a super-specialty children’s hospital and research center in Guindy, Chennai. The 750-bed facility at the King Institute campus is to be built at a total cost of ₹417 crore.
To be spread over 6.5 acres, the building would have six floors and house various specialties in addition to the Center of Excellence. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, South Chennai MP Thamizhachi Thangapandian, legislators AMV Prabhakara Raja, K. Ganapathy, elected representatives, chief secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials were present.
