SSC English exam postponed by a day due to Id ul Fitr which will be held on 21st March

The State Council for Secondary Education announced on Saturday a change in the schedule of public secondary school certificate examinations to be held in March 2026.

Director of Government Examinations KV Srinivasulu Reddy said in a statement that the English as a third language exam, originally scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026, has been postponed by a day and will now be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The change was necessary because March 20 coincides with Id ul Fitr Ramzan, according to the list of holidays announced by the government.

Mr. Reddy said students, parents, teachers, school principals, Mandal school principals, district trainers and regional directors should take note of the revised date. He clarified that there is no change in the schedule of any other exams and the remaining papers will be held according to the already published schedule.

According to the revised schedule, the First Language Group A exam and the First Language Paper I composite course will be held on March 16, followed by the Second Language written paper on March 18. The English exam will now be held on March 21. Math is scheduled for March 23rd, Physical Science March 25th, Biological Composite Science March 28th, and Social Studies March 30th OS and Sancosite First Language Course and Sancosite Language Course II. Persian will be held on March 31, while OSSC Main Language Paper II in Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian and SSC Vocational Course Theory exam will be held on April 1, 2026.

Mr. Reddy said that all academic course subjects and papers are common for both SSC and OSSC academic course candidates.
