SRM University-AP signs a memorandum of understanding with Tor Vergata University of Rome for joint research

SRM University-AP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy to strengthen research collaboration and academic exchange between the two institutions.

The agreement, signed on Thursday (September 17, 2026) through the university’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research (CIDR), allows for joint research publications, shared laboratories and faculty and student exchanges between Amaravati and Rome.

The MoU documents were exchanged between Vice Dean, Technology Transfer Cell, SRM-AP University Vinod Kumar and Professor, Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Rome Tor Vergata Corrado Di Natale.

During the campus visit, SRM University-AP presented its academic and research initiatives and Mr. Di Natale outlined the research opportunities at Tor Vergata. The engagement was followed by an interaction between Mr Di Natale and researchers from the university’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research.

The partnership comes at a time when SRM University-AP is expanding research activities in areas including artificial intelligence, advanced computing, quantum technologies, cryptography, medical imaging and cyber security. The university said the collaboration aims to create ongoing opportunities for interdisciplinary research and academic mobility.
