For the first time in its history, the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam achieved a record revenue of ₹ 73,19,314 through online sevas and darshan ticket sales on Friday (December 26).
In a joint statement here on Saturday, Pothugunta temple board chairman Ramesh Naidu and executive director (EO) M Srinivas Rao said the temple management has made available online sparsha darshan, ₹300 athi sheegra darshan and ₹150 sheegra darshan, besides 14 arjitha sevas. They can also be availed through the Mana Mithra WhatsApp management number 95523 00009, they said.
They said the record revenue came from the 12,000 transactions done in a single day and from the sale of darshan tickets, laddu prasadams, arjitha abhishekams, arjitha sevas, donations, kesha kandanam (tonsing of the head) and other tickets.
Similarly, ₹73,75,511 revenue was generated offline and the day’s total revenue was ₹1,46,94,825. “This is the first time that such a large amount of revenue has been generated on a normal day,” they said, adding that the management had made all arrangements to meet the needs of the large number of devotees who visited the temple. The services of temple officials and voluntary services of Shiva Sevaks have been extensively utilized to ensure hassle-free darshan for the pilgrims, they said.
The temple management has urged the devotees to use the online services of the temple for their convenience. They have also opened several online assistance registration centers at key locations in the city.
