The Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam has been decked up for the Mahasivaratri festivities that begin on Sunday, with the priority being to ensure smooth darshan and accommodation facilities for the visiting devotees.

Srisailam temple managing director M. Srinivasa Rao said on Saturday that all arjitha and paroksha sevas will remain canceled and only alankara darshan will be allowed for devotees during the 11-day festivities. Mr. Srinivasa Rao said three separate queues were arranged for the convenience of the devotees. The free darshan queue will start from the Radhashala with 25 compartments arranged to accommodate the waiting devotees. A separate queue was set up for the elderly, physically challenged and mothers with infants. Devotees observing Siva Deeksha were also given a separate queue from Chandravathi Kalyanamandapam with four compartments arranged for waiting.

He said drinking water will be provided on all fronts and emergency exits have been arranged to handle all cases. As offering Jyothirmudi is a tradition for devotees on Siva Deeksha, special counters have been set up on Patalaganga Road for this purpose.

A special free bus service will be operated in the temple town, while 30 wheelchairs have been placed at the donation counter for the use of those in need.
