Naidugari Rajasekhar, the chief priest of the Srimukhalingam temple in the district of SRIKAKULM, asked the government to start an effort to obtain the status of the world’s UNESCO for the 1000 -year -old historical temple. On Monday, he organized a protest in Nový Delhi to attract the attention of the archaeological survey of India (probably) and the government of the Union to the historical importance of the temple.
In a press release, he stressed that UNESCO’s recognition would ensure the rapid development and preservation of the temple that was built by the rule of the Eastern Gang Dynasty between the 6th and 12th table.
He said, “Srimukhalingam, located in the Gara Mandal of Sricakulam district, is one of the ancient temples of Lord Shiva.
