The SRI RAMA Navami festival was observed on Sunday with religious enthusiasm in various temples in the districts of Tirupati and Nellore. The day also marked the opening of the annual Brahmotsavam in several temples.
Sri Kodandarama Swama in Chandragiri from the Tirupati district, which took over TTD a few years ago, watched the ceremony “Dhwajarohanam”, which described the opening of Brahmotsavam.
Kankanabhattar Srinivasa Bhattar made rituals. The Deputy Executive Director of Devendra Babu and other officials took part.
In Nellore, former vice -chairman M. Venkaiah Naida offered prayers in the Sri Rama temple in his native village Chotapal, along with his grandson M. Vishna Baba. He urged the public to follow the ideals of Lord Frames to ensure a pious and spiritually rewarding life.
He called Ramayana as not only an epic, but a treasure of wisdom to eradicate social evil. “Rama Rajya is not just a utopian idea, but a egalitarian society that is without discrimination,” Mr. Naida said.
Nellore rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, accompanied by his husband Kotamreddy Sujith, was offered Silk Vastram and “Muthyala thalambral” for Sabari Srirama Kshetram Temple. He also partly in special prayers.
