
Seven Indian fishermen were arrested on Sunday morning by Sri Lankan navy for alleged fishing across the naval border between the two countries, the Association of Fishermen Rameswaram said.
According to the Association around 5 hours around 5:00, the Sri navy arrested the crew of the fishing ship “Ind-TN-10-MM-746”, belonging to Isaac Paul of Thangachimadam Ramesware, accusing the international naval border, reported.

According to the Association of Fishermen Ramesware, a total of 456 fishing boats started on Saturday after obtaining permission from the Rameswaram fishing port.

At the beginning of this month, four fishermen from Dhanushkodi in the Ramanathapuram Tamil district safely returned home after they were rescued by the Sri Lanka navy when their ship overturned in the Sea Sea.
