India U19 vs Sri Lanka U19 Live Score, 2nd Unofficial Test: Kushagra Ojha produced a composed unbeaten century to lift India U-19 from the depths of early collapse and put the visitors in firm control on the opening day of the second Youth Test against Sri Lanka. On a day cut short by poor light, India closed on 253/3 from 65 overs, recovering impressively after losing both openers without a run on the board.

Asked to bat first, India suffered the worst possible start as first Test double centurion Lakshya Raichandani and centurion Sagar Virk were dismissed for ducks, reducing the visitors to 0/2. When Sri Lanka sensed an opportunity, Ojha responded with remarkable maturity, absorbing the pressure before gradually taking charge of the innings.

The left-hander’s unbeaten 103 from 177 deliveries and displayed a mixture of patience, sound technique and controlled aggression. He confidently weathered the new ball, rotated the strike effectively and took the scoring opportunities to deny Sri Lanka any sustained momentum. His partnership with captain Yashbardhan Chauhan and Manal Chauhan changed the contest. Yashbardhan contributed a brisk 78 off 89 balls while Manal remained unbeaten on 55 off 108 deliveries as the pair ensured India did not lose any more wickets after their third dismissal.

Despite the early success, the Sri Lankan bowlers struggled to break the deadlock once Ojha settled in, with the left-hander becoming more assured as his innings progressed. Bad light eventually forced an early end to the game, leaving India in the lead with seven wickets in hand.

Having drawn the opening Test, India will be eager to build on the platform created by Ojha and post an impressive first innings total when play resumes on the second day.
