The SR University (SRU) in Warangal secured a place in the band 801-1000 in The Times Higher Education (The) World University Rankings 2026, which meant its first ever entry into the global ranking. It is also the youngest university in India to achieve a position in the global ranking, said the Chancellor of SRU A. Varadha Reddy.
Reddy, who dealt with a press conference on the campus on Saturday, said the SRU maintained the highest quality standards in teaching and learning. “We focus on the equipment of students prepared skills and ensuring that our faculty is well qualified and devoted to excellence,” he added.
This global recognition is closely monitored on the heels of the recently announced NIRF 2025 charts, in which SR University provided 91.
Vice -Chairman of Slovakia University Prof. Deepak Garg said the evaluation is evidence of a strong academic SRU and global outlook. Among the present were the Vice President of Prof. V. Malesh, Registrar Prof. PV Ramana Rao, Prof. PV Raja Shekar and Director-IQAC.
