
Youtuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested for alleged spy for Pakistan during the conflict in India, Pakistan, admitted during the interrogation that she was in contact with Ehsan-Ur-Rahim, aka Danish, Pakistani national and the High Commission official from November 2023.
According to the Hindustan Times report, the authorities believe that Danish actively worked on the development of Malhotra as a news asset.
“During this period, she confessed to direct communication with Danish,” said police spokesman Hisar Vikas Kumar. “She was also in contact with several other influential people on YouTube. Her three mobile phones and laptop, along with two Harkirat Singh phones, were sent to the Haryan Sikh Gurdware (HSGMC) Committee,” HT says.
The report quoted sources and said that Jyoti was extensively questioned by officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Intelligence (IB) regarding its suspicious references to Pakistani intelligence (PIO).

The head of the police official Hisar, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said HT: “He has several bank accounts and there have been numerous transactions. The financial data analysis will take time.”

Jyoti was among the 12 people who had been arrested from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh for the last two weeks for charges of espionage, with investigators aimed at the alleged Pakistani spy network operating in northern India.
Many channels on YouTube under control
There was an operation to see if more people were involved in the espionage against India and several channels on YouTube were under control, Haryana said on Tuesday.
According to the PTI, another Home Secretary, the Sumita Misra, said several channels on YouTube were examined and stressed that several channels still appear on the video sharing platform under new names. The watch is maintained to anyone who spreads misinformation or propaganda through social media, she said.
“Strict measures will be taken against any objection connection,” the officer said, adding that “it is a developing situation and many things (as the investigation proceeds)”.
