Voters at E. Kothapalle Mandal Parishat in Pulivendula Mandal in the Kadap district on Tuesday.
Small skirmishes between TDP and YSRCP activists disrupted otherwise peaceful negotiations on the seats of Pulivendula and Vontimitta ZPTC.
Pulivendula, considered the most prestigious competition, witnessed an impressive 77% of turnout. Of the 10 601 registered voters, 8 103 applied their franchise at 15 election stations established through mandala.
All the eyes were on the Pulivendul, the domestic lawn of the former main minister and the Party of the Congress Party Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy, which NDA wants to struggle from the ruling party. The NDA built Mareddy Latha Reddy, the wife of the TDP constituency, charged with Mareddy Ravindranath Reddy (popularly known as “B.Tech” Ravi), while YSRCC was nominated by Hemanth Reddy, son of late member of the ZPTC Maleshwar Reddy, apparently banking for the sympathy wave.
The district administration led by collector Sridhar Cherkurry has taken sophisticated measures for exploration. Web broadcasting was allowed at all election stations, while officials monitored the process in real time from the collector. CCTV cameras were installed by external stations to prevent non -traced incidents. The collector personally inspected several polling stations, while RTC buses and private auto-rickers handed over voters from distant villages.
Police superintendent, such as Ashok Kumar, said the armed forces were deployed in sensitive places in Plapureddypalle, Nallagondavaripalle and Erraball to ensure right and order. In addition to several stone and heated exchanges between TDP and YSRCP, the elections were largely without an incident.
Meanwhile, the President of the District District TDP and a member of Politburo R. Srinivas Reddy called on the Election Commission to take measures against the President of the Kadap district in Kadapa P. Ravindranath Reddy – Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mother’s uncle – claimed to make telephone calls and profitable officials. He also claimed that officials with a lower assessment were warned against desperate consequences if the party returned to power in the next general elections.
