Anticipating heavy rush of passengers during Deepavali, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of special express trains between Bengaluru Cantonment and Kalaburagi.
According to Senior Director, Public Relations, SWR, Manjunath Kanamadi, the first special service, Train No. 06203 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Express, will leave Bengal Tent at 7.40 pm on Saturday and reach Kalaburagi at 7.30 am the next day.
The return service, Train No. 06204 Kalaburagi-Yesvantpur Express, departs Kalaburagi at 9:35 AM on Sunday and arrives Yesvantpur at 8:30 PM on the same day.
Similarly, another special service, Train No. 06207 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Express will run on Monday leaving Bengaluru at 7.40 pm and reaching Kalaburagi at 7.30 am on Tuesday.
In the return direction, Train No. 06208 will depart Kalaburagi at 9:35 AM and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 8:30 PM on the same day.
The third service, Train No. 06209 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Express, will depart Bengaluru at 10:10 PM on Tuesday and arrive Kalaburagi at 9:00 AM on Wednesday.
The return service, Train No. 06210, will depart Kalaburagi at 10:45 AM on Wednesday and arrive Bengaluru Cantonment at 10:30 PM on the same day.
All special trains stop at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir and Shahabad.
Each service will consist of 22 coaches, including 20 sleeper class coaches and two luggage-cum-Divyangjan second class coaches.
South Western Railway has urged passengers to avail of these additional services to ensure a comfortable and convenient journey during the festive season.
