On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, women were offered on Wednesday’s prayer in the Sri Jagannatha Swamy Swamy temple. Special “ksheerabhisekham” was made on the idols of Sri Lakshmi Zarasimhaswamy.
The temple, which is assumed to be built in the 13th century, had a solemn appearance when the devotees arrived to pray the chairman of the deities.
To ensure trouble with Darshan for free for devotees, members of Jagannath Seva Samithi together with a priest manicant took sophisticated measures.
