Hundreds of devotees offered special prayers on the Maridimamba temple in the canton of Vizianagaram on Sunday. They offered prayers looking for her blessing for the well -being of the nation in the background of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan.
Temple Trustee G. Parameswari, along with the devoted M. Bharati, K. Sai Sai, K. Lakshmi and others have taken sophisticated measures for special prayers. They offered traditional sari, naivedyam and other material to the chairman of the deity.
Mr. Local entrepreneur, emphasized the historical importance of the temple in Canton. He said, “The cantonment served as a military base over the past 125 years. Before he started critical missions such as the protection of the Earth from external and internal enemies, soldiers and police staff visit Dandumaramma and Maridimamba temples and are looking for divine blessings.” By the way, special prayers coincided with the mother of mothers. Temple manager Mrs. Paramesware promised to organize such devoted activities every year on a special day.
The locals actively participated in services, including the distribution of free meals and other charity activities.
