Nearly half of the enumeration forms distributed for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voters’ lists have been digitized, according to election officials.
Chief Electoral Officer (Kerala) Rathan U. Kelkar said that 1,37,36,737 forms had been digitized till 6 pm on Wednesday. This represents 49.32% of the total number of forms distributed.
Meanwhile, the number of “untraceable forms”, where voters were not traced, rose to 3,80,120, Mr. Kelkar said.
Mr. Kelkar said he held a video conference with the booth level officers (BLOs) who had digitized less than 100 forms to understand the problems they were facing. More camps have been organized to receive the filled forms from the public and upload the data, he said.
The house-to-house enumeration phase began in Kerala on November 4. This phase will end on December 4th.
