The Indian Election Commission (ECI) on Tuesday (July 22, 2025) stated that the list of 21.36 Lakh voters must still be received in the ongoing special intensive revision (Sir) of electoral roles in Bihar.
Of the total number of 7,89,69,844 voters in the state, forms were received from 7,16,04 102 voters, while 52,30 126 voters were not found at their registered addresses. According to the ECI statement, 18.66,869 individuals are probably deceased, 7.50 742 are registered in several places, 26,01,031 are assumed that it has been permanently shifted and 11,484 could not be traced.

The Commission stated that July 25 is the final date of submission of the list. The names of those who submitted forms will be included in the proposal of election roles that will be published 1 August.
ECI said that the effort was reinforced to ensure the inclusion of all eligible voters in the election role. Election machinery – including nearly one Lakh stand officers (BLOS), four Lakh volunteers and 1.5 lakh agents at the stand level (blah) nominated by district presidents of 12 major political parties – working on tracking voters whose forms were not accepted or who were not found on their address list.
The main election officers, election registration officials and BLOS also organized a meeting with representatives of political parties, shared lists of 21.36 voters, whose forms await and nearly 52.30 laches who are reportedly deceived, permanently moved or registered in more places.
According to Sir’s order of 24 June, the proposal of the role published 1st August will open public inspection for a one -month period of up to 1 September, during which any member of the public can object to additions, deletion or repairs.
