The historical height of Paris Saint-Germain was sealed with a spectacular fashion 1. But in the middle of the celebrations, Enrique stopped to honor the deeply personal chapter of his life – his late daughter Xana. PSG coach, who was wearing a specially designed T -shirt, paid tribute Xana with an illustration that shows that both hold the PSG flag together.
This touching honor reflects a moment from Enrique’s past. When in 2015 he first raised the Champions League trophy as a coach of Barcelona, his young daughter Xana, then five, greatly planted the giant Bara flag on the pitch. The new illustration reimagizes this memory with the PSG flag, as the Champions of Ligue 1 completed their height with victory over inter on Sunday. Xana tragically died in 2019 at the age of nine years after the battle with bone cancer.
PSG vs Inter Milan, UCL Final: Emphasmation
Months before the finals, Enrique revealed his plan to re -create this unforgettable moment of discontinuation of the flag with his daughter, this time celebrating the PSG flag.
“I have an amazing photo of her planting flag Barcelona in the lawn,” Enrique said in a January interview.
“I want to be able to do the same with the PSG flag. My daughter will not be there in the physical sense, but she will be spiritually there, and that’s very important to me,” he added.
Even PSG fans appreciated the head coach of their party similar Tifo in Allianz Arena full -time.
The ENRique journey was deeply marked by this personal loss. Shortly after taking over in the Spanish national team in 2019, he resigned to focus on his family during Xan’s illness. Although he returned to the role later this year, he left again in 2022 after the exit from the World Cup of Spain.
Now, in PSG, Enrique led a revised group – without stars like Kylian Mbappe, who moved to Real Madrid – to European glory. Despite the strong investment in previous years on big names such as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Sergio Ramos, the Champions League trophy escaped the club until this strong victory in the final, the largest winning margin in the final history of the Champions League.
