Special AC beds for heat stroke patients in government hospitals
In view of the rising temperatures and the prevailing heat conditions, the district health authorities have set up special air-conditioned beds for the treatment of heat stroke patients in four government hospitals.
District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS) Dr. Narendra Singh said in a statement on Friday that dedicated air-conditioned rooms, medicines, intravenous fluids and oxygen support have been arranged to provide immediate treatment to patients reporting symptoms of heatstroke.
A four-bed air-conditioned ward has been set up at Aganampudi Hospital and double air-conditioned rooms have been arranged at Gopalapatnam, Bheemili and Pendurthi hospitals.
ORS corners and drinking water facilities are also set up in the hospital premises. Voluntary organizations were invited to support the hospitals by donating air conditioners, coolers and water dispensers.
