The acting NASA administrator compared the iPhone to the cosmic economy and an American monthly mission in a recent podcast with a space agency: “… it’s like iPhone at the beginning of the iPhone…”
Duffy explained that no one could have imagined how the iPhone would change their lives today. Likewise, no one could predict 20 years ago the upcoming US mission and what happened in the low orbit of the Earth.

In September, in the episode “Houston we have a podcast”, Duffy said, “… … 20, 20 years ago no one could imagine what kind of economy you would have in space, with the cosmic economy …”
“It’s like an iPhone at the beginning of the iPhone, as if no one understands how it will change your life, that you get your instructions and you have social media and you would be banking, and you are going on- all these things will happen on your phone.

Duffy, who is also the Minister of Transport of the US, said he believed that “what happened in low orbit, in the space economy, I do not think he could predict 20 years ago”.
Duffy said the same kind of industrial revolution would take place when the US goes to the month.
“Likewise, with what happens when we go to the Moon, the same kind of revolution of industry will take place, which is really exciting,” he said.

“And I want it to be American innovators, American societies, American manufacturers, American scientists. I want it to be led by our team. I don’t want another country to be led, in some distant place, their team,” Duffy said.

Cooperation in the US-Rusko in space: “Bright Spot” is…
Duffy also emphasized the rare cooperation between the US and Russia in the area of the universe and acknowledged the main differences between the two countries during the War of Ukraine.
Duffy said: “Cooperation between the US and Russia is critical when you lead the space station out of orbit.” He said, “… it’s a clear place, cooperation that our two big countries have together in space.”

“And I think we can build on it and we should build on it,” Duffy said, expressing the hope that “We are going to combine the space station again.”
“I think it is critical, but also sending clear signals and resources that we need an alternative from our private partners,” he said.
In particular, NASA is working to allow and smoothly transition to commercially owned and operated platforms in the low orbit of the country, because in 2030 the operating life of the International Space Station (ISS) ends.
“… When the space station comes, it descends in 2030, we planned, well to make sure we have another iteration and ready to go,” Duffy said.
Mission 4 billion dollars Moon is not sustainable?
Sean Duffy said in a podcast that if Artemis I, Artemis II and Artemis III are all $ 4 billion for starting … “For $ 4 billion a start, you don’t have a monthly program.”
“I just don’t think it exists. We have to reduce the price down. So I have to think and work with Congress members.”
He also asked, “What does Artemis IV, V and VI? But spend so much money thinking about what we have to do to have a permanent presence, I think it becomes very, very demanding.”
Duffy said, “For the private sector, you can again have satellite and get it into space, you know, a million, just over a million dollars like this, was unheard of 20 years ago. What is happening to reduce the price, from these vehicles.
“We have to think about it, because the number of $ 4 billion is too huge to think we can be sustainable about this number,” he added.
NASA’S ARTEMIS II is focused on April 2026 at the latest. The agency focuses on the South Pole of the Moon for its Artemis missions.
Four astronauts will start around the Moon on Artemis II, the first crew mission on the way of NASA to create a long -term presence on the Moon for Science and Survey through Artemis.
For the first time with astronauts, a ten -day flight tests for the first time with NASA’s basic capabilities for Deep Deep Space, SLS missile and Orion spacecraft.
