Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) launched a newly developed web portal titled ‘Stree Raksha – Police Protection for Every Home’ to strengthen the security of women in the district.
The SP said this web portal will facilitate collection and monitoring of security related information from all areas of the district. Complaints registered on the portal immediately reach the SP through a dedicated special control room as well as the nearest police station, enabling quick response and faster resolution of issues.
Under this initiative, each household will be visited by police station staff and designated women police officers from the villages/areas. They will help register women safety concerns through the Stree Raksha portal at the respective local police stations.
Through the ‘Stree Raksha’ programme, the district police is trying to create a safer environment for women and ensure that police protection reaches every household, the SP said. This digital platform is expected to improve coordination between the public and the police and streamline the security system, he added.
SP emphasized that this initiative is an important step to increase the safety of women and called on the public to actively cooperate. Tadipatri ASP Rohit Kumar Choudhary, Trainee IPS officer Aswin Manideep and city policewomen participated in the programme.
