For a long time there was a public perception that the South Railway did not perform projects quickly enough in Tamil Nadu. Thus, the railway authorities convened a meeting of members of Parliament Chennai, Kancheepuram and Truvallur to provide infrastructure projects.
South railway official said the meeting was convened on the basis of the pitfalls to emphasize the infrastructure projects and the reconstruction of the station under the AMRIT Bharat station. At the meeting chaired by Chennai Central MP Dayanidhi Maran and MP Sriper TR Baal, other MPs were emphasized, including Sashikanth Senthil (Tirvallur) and Member of Rajya Sabha Kanimozhi NVn Som.

Reconstruction delay
Mr. Baalu urged officials to rebuild the Tambaram station, a project that has been delayed for more than two years. It is necessary to carry out the Railway Development Office (RLDA), for which a detailed report of the project was prepared.
Mr. Sashikanth Senthil, in the national director of Southern Railway RN Singh, said several projects are progress slowly. Among them was the reconstruction of stations Ambattur, Tirvallur and Gummmidipoondi under the AMRIT Bharat scheme. He wanted officials to explore the possibility of the fourth railway terminal in Avadi or Truvallur. Request to double the track
Kancheepuram MP G. Selvam said that a large number of inhabitants in Kancheepuram depends on the suburban services from the beach to Thirumalpur and the presence of one track led to the poor operation of suburban services at a frequency of one hour. He demanded that the track first doubles.

Eight new lifts were installed at the Avadi station and the parking space was paved. The Truvallur Station and the Station Minjur and Ennore were equipped with elevators according to the presentation.
