Southern Distribution Company Company LTD (TGSPDCL) has decided to replace existing high -capacity transformers in distribution and distribution lines that record high load growth, with 16 MVA capacity transformers in wiring and lines with 1,000 KVA distribution transformers on 500 kVA.
The decision was adopted at the inspection meeting jointly organized by the TGSPDCL and Telangana Transmission Corporation LTD (TG-Transco) here on Friday and the chairman and CEO of the MD. Musharraf Faruqui and directors of both instruments. Existing transformers, PTR and DTRS, would be replaced by high -capacity in areas that experience high load growth, as part of plans to meet demand growth during the upcoming summer season.
Mr. Faruqui said that next year (summer season), the highest energy demand (summer season) is expected to increase in the range of 19,500 megawatts to 20,000 MW and the Hyderabad demand will probably be 5,000 MW. It was planned to upgrade 3,866 distribution transformers (DTR) and 431 power transformers (PTR) to handle such an increase in demand in southern discom areas, noted.
He explained that the capacity of power transformers would increase in the jubilee of hills, Madhapur, manicond, gachibowli, medchal, medipaly, medipally, pathacher, RC Puram, Bollaram, Borapatla, Narsapur and Palamacula.
The distribution company took technical steps to use the soil available efficiently, and Dismom decided to install 1,000 KVA distribution transformers for the first time to outperform the lack of space. In larger areas of HYDERABAD by 500 KVA DTR, which currently register more than 70% load, 1,000 KVA transformers would be replaced.
Similarly, the 33/11 kV wiring, mostly in the larger Hyderabad limits, were equipped with 16 MVA high -capacity PTRs. He noted that the installation of large capacity transformers would significantly alleviate the problem of spatial restrictions. CMD ordered officials to meet engineers at a field level in high demand areas, studied local conditions, and prepare detailed plans within a week.
Directors of TG-Transco G. Sampath Kumar and D. Latha Vinod, Directors of TGSPDCL Narasimhulu and Shivaji, Main Engineers Transco Chiranjeevi and Vasudev Rao Swamy, Anand, Kamesh and Prabhakar and others participated.
