
South Africa cricket announced that the central contracts for the male national team on Monday 7th April. Two of the biggest stars of the team – David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen – were given hybrid contracts, while goalkeeper Heinrich Klaasen was not named in the list of 18 men.
The absence of Klasen, a well -recognized specialist in the T20 around the world, builds his future with a South African team at risk. Klasen was one of the drive forces of the T20 2024 World Cup and is one of the most evaluated Hitters in the world.
While Klasen was expelled from the list, two other renowned teams – David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen – were named freelance and play only in the selected bilateral series.

CSA contracts take place until 31 May 2026, just behind the World Cup T20, which will take place in India and Sri Lanka, in February and March.
“With the introduction of hybrid contracts, David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen will be concluded to participate in specific agreed bilateral tours and ICC events,” the CSA read.
The director of the national teams and the high -performance Enoch NKWE said the players were appointed with regard to the ODI World Cup.
“I want to congratulate all players who have received national contracts for the next 12 months, especially players who were first concluded. All these players were concluded with the meaning of another World Testing Championship and 2027 Criket Cup at home,” he said.
“Hybrid contracts take into account the dynamic nature of the modern cricket and provide David and Rassie the opportunity to contribute to the team during specific two -sided tours and ICC events,” he added.
The South African rapid pitching susceptible to injury to Anrich Nortje was also not appointed in central contracts.
