Former Indian captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has filed a defamation case against Argentina Fan Club president Uttam Saha. ₹Damage of 50 million crowns. Ganguly’s legal action came after Saha publicly blamed Ganguly’s involvement during Lionel Messi’s chaotic visit to the Salt Lake Stadium on 13 December.
Alleging that Saha’s remarks were “false, malicious, insulting and defamatory”, Ganguly filed a complaint against Lalbazar, stating that the comments caused considerable damage to his reputation and were made without factual basis. Clarifying his visit, Ganguly said he had no official connection with the event and was only attending as a guest.
Organizers invited Ganguly and Bollywood start Shah Rukh Khan as chief guests at Messi’s event in Kolkata. Notably, Shah Rukh did not get out of his car when he saw the chaos and returned after waiting for 15-20 minutes outside the VVIP stadium entrance.
