
Former Indian captain and former president of BCCI Souravo ganguly will probably compete for the presidential place of the cricket association Bengal (CAB). Gangules today confirmed India to submit its nomination before the annual General Meeting (AGM).
If the gangules enter the race, it is expected to be elected unaffected. His potential return to the cab lead is followed by the ineligibility of his older brother and current President Cab, Snehasish Ganguly, to reduce the Lipha Committee.
The cabin completed data for its AGM and choices. On Tuesday there was an emerging session of the council of peak to prepare for the upcoming public opinion surveys. The last APEX council meeting is scheduled for 14 August 2025 and AGM will take place on 20 September 2025.
The gangules previously worked as a cabin secretary in 2015 before becoming president later this year, followed by Jagmhan Dalmiya. He held a position until 2019, after which he served as President BCCI from 2019 to 2022.

Gangules played a transformation role in the Indian cricket through its leadership as the president of the cabin and later as the president of BCCI.
During his time as President CAB from 2015 to 2019, gangules focused on the revitalization of the Bengal cricket modernization of infrastructure and improved players development programs.
He emphasized professional coaching and upgraded facilities, which contributed to the improved performance of Bengal in domestic competitions such as Ranji Trophy.
After the appointment of President Bcci, Ganguly’s tenure was marked by several important initiatives aimed at strengthening the Indian cricket foundations and the expansion of its global influence.
One of his remarkable successes was the development of the latest National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengalur, which was designed to provide the upcoming cricket training facility.
Gangules also played an instrumental role in promoting a female cricket by launching a female T20 challenge, which created a major platform for players to show their talent on a larger scene.
Under his leadership, BCCI secured record media rights for Indian Premier League (IPL) and generated revenue exceeding 48,000 CRS per cycle 2023-2027.
In 2022, 1983, the winner of the World Championship Roger Binny followed Sourav gangules as president of BCCI.
