
The Kochi Municipal Police launched an incident investigation when a seemingly older man died after allegedly jumped in front of Venad Express of Thripunithura Railway Overbridge on Monday around 17:40
According to the police, he was probably the deceased at the age of 60 and 70. The alleged incident occurred shortly after the train left the thripunithura station. The man allegedly jumped on the road moving train from crossing around 100 meters in front of the station.
He underwent injuries that proved to be fatal, although the train stopped after the incident. The train stuck at the station for almost an hour and renewed the service only after the police removed the body and completed the preliminary procedures.
Police Hill Palace registered the case of unnatural death and is trying to identify the deceased. The body remains in the morgue of the government hospital in Thripunithura.
