
Captain Tottenham Hotspur Son Heung-min announced that he will leave the club this summer. Since his arrival in the club in 2015, his son was synonymous with Spurs and last season won the European League. The Korean star was associated with the transition to MLS because Los Angeles FC was offered as a potential target.
The son, who spoke at a press conference before the clash of Spurs against Newcastle United in Korea, confirmed the decision and said the club is helping him continue. A 33 -year -old man said it was the most difficult decision he made in his career. He further stated that the reason for his decision was that he felt, that he had achieved everything he could with the London club and needed a new environment for a new challenge.

“I just want to share the information I decided to leave this club this summer,” the son said. “The club helps me with this decision.”

The match against Newcastle on Sunday 3rd August could be Son’s last match for the club.
The son also said that he informed his teammates about the decision and respect the choice he made.
“I talked to a few boys, those I spent with a long time. They’re disappointed but with respect. I obviously have been very close to Ben and we talked several times about the future. They obviously respect my decision.
During his time with Spurs, his son scored 160 goals for the club and is their fifth highest goalkeeper in history. He also won the Golden Boot Premier League 2021-22 for being the best scorer this season.
