Hyderabad District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari on Wednesday (April 1) inaugurated the solar system at the Bhagwan Mahavir Dialysis Center located on the premises of the King Koti District Hospital. The solar installation worth ₹ 24 lakh was donated by Surender Pal Singh, Chairman of Premium Energy Limited, along with members of the Mahavir Charitable Trust.
Trust officials informed the Collector that the dialysis center established in 2011 has so far provided services to nearly 1.8 million patients. The facility currently serves around 1,400 patients, is equipped with 230 dialysis machines and offers treatment at a nominal cost of ₹300 per session.
