The residential pre-university colleges run by the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (KREIS) under the Ministry of Social Welfare recorded a pass rate of 97.22 in this year’s II PUC examinations.
Social Affairs Minister HC Mahadevappa said this represents an increase of 5.58 percentage points from last year’s 91.64%. “A total of 5,103 students appeared for the II PU exam from PU dormitories operated by KREIS and a total of 4,961 students passed,” he said at a press conference on Friday (April 10).
