Nationwide social and educational survey conducted by the State Commission of Karnataka for back -class classes entered the fourth day on the fourth day with mixed progress across districts.
While the survey on Thursday captured the pace with enumerators visiting more than 53,908 households within 4pm, technical defects and public hesitation continued their survey.
Overall, we managed to cover 1,82,734 households, which represent more than 7 lakh individuals since the beginning of 22 September, officials said.
By the end of the third day, more than 84,000 households were asked on Wednesday, which represents more than 3.1 individuals.
However, the coverage was uneven, with centers such as Bengalur Urban, Bengalur of Rural and Bengaluru South, which is recorded by slower progress for delayed training and network problems.
While the enumerations in Belagavi and Kalaburagi covered the highest number of households at 15,987 and 15,649 respectively, officials said that the smallest number of households was covered in Benugalur Urban and UDUP in 477 and 649.
Poor connectivity has disrupted the functioning of the mobile application and forced enumerators to repeat data recording in several districts. The aim of a 420 GBP survey is aimed at covering almost two CRORE households within a 15 -day window.
Congress meeting
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the meeting of the Ministers of Congress, Legislators and Return Leaders decided to support the ongoing survey and to stand firmly with the main Minister Siddaramaiaiah.
The Minister of Small irrigation and Science and Technology of NS Boseraju said that backward communities must actively participate in to ensure the success of the survey because it is necessary to provide economic, political and educational benefits.
Former Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily called the “historical” assembly and noted that similar opposition was observed during the exercise of Kelkar and Mandal Commission, but Congress ensured their implementation.
“The main Minister Siddaramaiah is determined by an uplifting marginalized group,” he said.
Congress MLC BK Hariprasad added that the exercise was part of the party’s manifest and essential to assess the socio-economic state of 197 background communities.
Ministers and leaders also decided to go through the districts and build awareness and mobilize support.
