The SNDP Samrakshana Samiti will initiate both criminal and civil proceedings against Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yoga General Secretary Vellappally Natesan for preparing a fraudulent voter list in violation of Supreme Court guidelines for the upcoming organizational elections, samiti leaders said at a press conference here on Saturday. They also alleged that Mr. Natesan and his son were spreading misinformation about court orders to rig the election.
The controversy stems from a Supreme Court judgment dated 19 December 2025, which directed the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs to determine whether SNDP Yogam was operating as a Kerala non-trading company or under the Union Companies Act. The court specifically ordered that this decision be made only after notice has been served on the plaintiffs, their documents have been reviewed, and their arguments have been heard.
‘false claims’
However, the summit leaders said they have yet to receive a formal hearing date and pointed to significant administrative irregularities in the notices they received. “While the Ministry of Corporate Affairs is yet to hear arguments or deliver a final verdict, Vellappally Natesan and his son are falsely claiming that they have received all necessary permissions to hold elections,” they said.
According to the samiti, a fraudulent circular was issued to the union officials to start the preparation of voter list. “This action allegedly ignores the Supreme Court’s standing order dated August 8, 2024, which appointed a special committee to revise the register of SNDP Yogam members using valid identity proof,” they added.
“Authority Support”
The members of the samiti further alleged that this violation of the law is taking place with the tacit support of the central and state authorities. “The State Central Committee of the SNDP Samrakshana Samiti has decided to take strict legal and organizational countermeasures. A Special Leave Petition (SLP) has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the appeal which granted voting rights in the earlier case,” they said.
The press conference was attended by Chairman S. Chandrasenan, Prosecutor V. Vijayakumar and State Committee Member D. Sajeev Babu.
