However, the internet really cheered when Smriti’s mother also took a shot at Palash and roasted him with a meme.

Mom Smriti Mandhana shared a funny meme that the RCB captain saw the face of his former Palash in the DC bowlers when she smashed the half-century.
The meme featured Palash in a Delhi Capitals jersey with the caption, “So this is how Smriti saw the DC players during yesterday’s game?”
Smriti’s mother approved of the meme and reposted it on her Instagram account.
However, she later deleted this meme post.
About the WPL 2026 final
Smriti won the Man of the Match for scoring 87 off 41 balls to help RCB Women beat DC Women by 6 wickets in the WPL 2026 final on Thursday.
Her coach Malolan Rangarajan later revealed that she had been battling a 103-degree fever the night before the match. “Smriti played this game with a massive, massive flu. She was seriously ill with a high fever, but she reappeared and didn’t even show it.”
Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored a record 204, the most in a WPL and IPL final, when they overcame Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) 200-run chase in the 2014 IPL final against Punjab Kings.
RCB’s chase is also the first time a target higher than 175 has been chased in any women’s T20 final – leagues or internationals. The total is also the highest run-getter in WPL history, with RCB surpassing his 202 runs in the 2025 edition against Gujarat Giants.
Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal wedding controversy
Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were supposed to get married on 23 November 2025. After the pre-wedding celebrations, their main wedding event was suddenly put on hold as Mandhana’s father was taken to the hospital.
Soon after, Palash Muchhal and his family flew back to Mumbai, where he was hospitalized for stress.
There were rumors that Muchhal was caught cheating with the choreographer at the wedding. However, the choreographers at the wedding denied the allegations.
The cheating allegations made a comeback recently when actor-producer Vidnyan Mane alleged that Palash Muchhal was caught in the act with another woman. He also added that the music composer was beaten up by Smriti Mandhan’s friends.
