SMRITI MANDHANA STILL ARISING
Smriti Mandhana is one of India’s most consistent and influential batsmen and has established herself as a key figure at the top of the order across formats. She made her international debut in 2013 and has since become one of India’s most prolific run scorers, amassing 5,411 ODI runs with 14 centuries and 4,231 T20I runs with one century and 33 fifties.
Last year Mandhana was helpful India’s historic first Women’s World Cup triumphhe scored 434 runs in nine matches at an average of 54.25 and a strike rate of 99.08, including a top score of 109.
She also had recent success with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), leading them to their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title. Mandhana finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 377 runs and played a match-winning innings of 87 in the final against Delhi Capitals.
